How to be confident on stage while performing?

Do your legs tremble? Do you feel anxiety when you get on the stage? Lacking confidence on stage is something even most of the performers can suffer from. But with good preparation and delivery techniques, you can handle the audiences. Don't think, just do it!

The stage fear may appear as a barrier between you and your goal. People may overcome the fear that is pushing you away from your goal. Some people are born with great knowledge. They can face the audience and convey their message engagingly.

Take Away the Negative thoughts:

Confidence is the only key to move forward. Lack of confidence will sink if we are listening to someone give a presentation with no confidence is awkward.
Don’t make your audience bore. Be confident, even if underneath your callused outer shell is as fragile as an egg. Fake it until you make it, and until you do, use these tips to help you be confident on stage.

Keep Practicing to Stand Steady:

Make sure that you know your lines, choreography, music, note cards, anything at all, completely by heart. You can go through everything daily to ensure that you won’t forget a thing. This way you won’t feel nervous about the possibility of forgetting something on stage.
If you're participating in a debate or giving a speech, research the topic of discussion thoroughly. This will increase your knowledge of the subject matter so you can speak confidently without sounding stumped. This is especially crucial if you will answer questions after the speech!

Being Late is Worse:

To begin with, show up early and dressed in your best. There’s nothing worse than being late or nearly late to an important appointment. Make yourself on time to arrive at the venue, breathe and relax before you start.

If you don’t plan to set aside time to get there early, you’re going to be speeding around in traffic, swearing to yourself, increasing your heart rate, and stressing out to the maximum. Avoid doing such things. There’s no legitimate reason you can’t be on time, so be on time.

Envision:

If you lack confidence because you don’t know how you look on stage, practice yourselves on facing the mirror and that stimulates your confidence level. Now you will have a clear idea of what the audience will see when you go on stage, and you can work on any mistakes you see.

What’s More, Pressuring You?

While performing on stage, so many thoughts go in your mind about the opinion of the audience. Do they like the performance? What they are thinking about me? These types of many questions pop up in our mind while performing. We must overcome all those unnecessary thoughts. Because no matter what others think.
To face this kind of problem, we must practice ourselves to perform in front of the mirror as I mentioned above. So that we shall correct our expressions towards the audience. These practices train us to perform on stage with confidence.
