Everyone chooses the subject apart from arts, how many of us will choose or get a chance to learn music as a degree? Very few. Like any teacher who works at a public school, a music teacher must have a bachelor's degree and complete a state-approved teacher preparation program to meet certification requirements.

The workplace of a musician can vary. They can work in a studio or play before a live audience. They may work as freelance artists or as salaried musicians for orchestras, choirs, theatres or musical bands.

Stage performance techniques are ideas singers can use transform them from an average performer to a potential star. Learning how to perform on stage is a skill that all singers should master if they wish to be successful in the music industry.

Composers create and arrange musical scores for anything that requires a soundtrack. Movies, television shows, video games, plays, commercials, songs and orchestras all require composers to bring their projects to completion. 

Educational and training requirements for music directors and composers vary, although most positions require related work experience. A music director or composer for a symphony orchestra typically needs a master's degree; a choir director may need a bachelor's degree.


Music Therapist


Music Therapy is an allied health profession in which music is used within a therapeutic relationship to address physical, psychological, cognitive, and social needs of individuals. The education of a music therapist is unique among college degree programs. 

Because it not only allows a thorough study of music, but encourages examination of one's self as well as others. The undergraduate curriculum includes coursework in music therapy, psychology, music, biological, social and behavioural sciences, disabilities and general studies.
